Product Description
The Blue Planet Disc is made by the Out of Ruins studio in Ottawa, Canada. Imagine taking shards of recycled glass and arranging them on the top level of a kiln and then heating it up to almost 2000f and letting the melted glass funnel down to a lower level, where a giant glass puddle collects. When that ‘glass puddle’ cools, it becomes these magnificent fused glass discs! Each disc comes with a stand for displaying it. The glass discs look best when light is allowed to show through them – in a window or backlit is best. When you walk into a room with an Out of Ruins fused glass disc in it – you are wowed.
