Product Description
The Maple Tree is classic Canadian culture through and through. This maple tree looks great over a fireplace, as a headboard or on the side of a house. It is the creation of Jack Willoughby of Anvil Island Design from Vancouver Island, B.C. Canada. It is made of reclaimed, laser cut steel. It’s available in both plain brushed steel or hand coloured in a rich brassy earth tone. The wall pieces hang slightly off from the wall, which gives them a beautiful depth and slight shadow.
Jack’s career as an artist began in steel working, then teaching metal work at a Vancouver College, where the freedom to create his own designs soon turned to a fulltime job. His unique ironwork can be found in art galleries, gift shops and in private homes all over North America, Europe and Japan. The strength and simplicity of his work makes it equally at home in the house or outside in the garden. Please keep in mind that outdoors, Mother Nature will slowly change the steel to a gorgeous rusty colour over time.
The small Maple Tree is around 11" tall x 23" wide and hangs slightly off the wall .
This tree is oxidized, which gives it a warm brassy earth toned colour.
