Product Description
Created by Art In Iron Studios, the Continental Tree is inspired by earth's continents. The design is laser cut out of 100% mild reclaimed steel, then ground and polished with special abrasives to give it a light catching, brushed surface. The tree is then worked with heat, which produces wonderful lavender, azure and honeyed hues. Finally it is clear coated to finish and protect the piece. This Continental Tree can be hung on the wall or comes with a stand.
The large Continental Tree is 22" wide, by 21" high.
Art in Iron is a metal studio run by partners Dody and Buzzz since 1994. They are both self taught artists, learning through exploration, examination and experimentation. Based is Simcoe, Ontario, they first conceptualize detailed product ideas that give rise to their iron art.
